    Rural Housing Schemes

    Centrally Sponsored Scheme
    Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Rural
    Objective – “Housing for All”
    The scheme provides the benefit of a house with basic amenities to the kutcha house/homeless families in rural areas. The house is expected to be constructed with a kitchen and toilet in a minimum mat area of 269 sq.ft. Under the scheme, 60% of the target to be achieved is for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) and 40% is distributed to Other categories and 5% of the total target is expected to be reserved for persons with disabilities. Funds are disbursed directly to the beneficiaries in their bank accounts through the AwasSoft and Public Fund Management System (PFMS), developed by Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. Geo-tagging of house construction is done through the Awas App. It has been planned to implement Rural Mason Training under the scheme.
    Pradhan Mantri Janajati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan
     Objective – Housing schemes for three primitive tribes viz. Kolam, Katkari and Madiya Gond under Prime Minister-Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Mission (PM-JANMAN).
    State Schemes
     Beneficiaries of all state schemes are provided benefits on the lines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Rural.
     Ramai Awas Scheme-
     Objective – Housing scheme for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Neo-Buddhist communities in the state.
     Shabari Awas Scheme –
     Objective – Housing scheme for Scheduled Tribes (ST) communities in the state.
     Pardhi Awas Scheme –
     Objective – Housing scheme for the Pardhi community in the state.
     Atal Bandhkam Kamgar Awas Scheme –
     Objective -Housing Scheme for registered (active) construction workers in rural areas of the state.
     Yashwantrao Chavan Mukta Vasahat Yojana-
     Objective – Housing scheme for category of liberated castes and nomadic tribes.
     Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Awas Yojana –
     Objective – Housing scheme for the people of Dhangar community in the rural areas of the state.
     Modi Awas Gharkul Yojana –
     Objective – Housing scheme for the communities of Other Backward Classes, Special Backward Classes, Deprived Castes and Nomadic Tribes.

    Beneficiary:

    The selection of eligible beneficiaries is done through the concerned Zilla Parishad.

    Benefits:

     Under the “Pradhan Mantri Janajati Adivasi Nyay Mahaabhiyan (PM-JANMAN)”, eligible families belonging to primitive tribes (Kolam, Katkari and Madiya Gond), Rs. 2.39 lakh per household (household grant of Rs. 2.00 lakh, Rs. 12 thousand under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and under MGNREGA, a subsidy of Rs. 27 thousand (approximately) for 90/95 mandays of unskilled wages) is permissible.  For construction of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Rural and State schemes, financial assistance of Rs. 1.20 lakh per beneficiary is permissible. And in addition to the house subsidy, as per the government resolution dated 4 April 2025, additional grant of Rs. 50,000/- for the year 2024-25 (Rs. 35,000/- additional grant for the house and Rs. 15,000/- for the installation of solar energy system on the roof up to 1 KW limit from the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana, Incentive grant of Rs.12000 for the beneficiary eligible under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBM) and wages for around 90/95 unskilled mandays under MGNREGA (Approximately Rs.28,080/-)), is permissible.
