To monitor the schemes, campaigns, programmes and projects implemented by the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department of the Central and State Government as well as the schemes implemented by the Zilla Parishads in the division.

To inspect the Zilla Parishads, Panchayat Samitis and Gram Panchayats in the division and select them for divisional level awards and submit proposals for state level awards under Yashwantrao Chavan Panchayat Raj Abhiyan and Sant Gadgebaba Gram Swachhata Abhiyan.

To co-ordinate the facilities provided through the Gram Panchayats, the facility of mobile toilets and drinking water for the Ashadhiwari Palkhi.
