    Land Acquisition Branch Operations

    • To organize a review meeting with the Land Acquisition Officer of the concerned district and the concerned officers of the concerned project regarding land acquisition in Pune division and to update the records of the Acquisition in the Revenue records. In the Projects /Court cases/ Revenue records /Plan work to take action on all land acquisition related matters within the time limit.

    • To scrutinize and approve the financial powers received by the Divisional Commissioner Pune in the awards received under the new Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013, up to Rs. 10 crore and Rs. 100 crore.

    • Land acquisitionTo review the pending land reference cases in the Hon’ble Civil and Hon’ble High Courts under Section 18, 28 (A)(3) of the Act 1894 and also to review the pending applications under Section 28 (A).

    • Land acquisition Submitting the proposal for extension of tenure of temporary posts of land acquisition on the establishment to the government for approval. Submitting the quarterly financial (expenditure/receipt) statement to the Government.

    • Railway Proceeding of enhanced compensation application (arbitration applications) from the Joint Commissioner of Land Acquisition, Pune under the Act 1989 as amended by the Act 2008 and Arbitration (Arbitration).

    • To review pending land acquisition issues on PMG/PRAGATI/PMU PORTAL.
