Municipal Council Administration Branch

Maintaining control and coordination over Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats in the Pune division.

Verifying establishment-related and financial matters of the Chief Officer, Municipal Cadre staff, and Municipal employees.

Coordinating among the Director of Municipal Council Administration (DMA), Navi Mumbai and the District Joint Commissioners, the Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats at the local level.

Carrying out necessary actions in accordance with the provisions of “The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships Act, 1965”.

To monitor and control various schemes of the Central and State Governments.

To handle the cases related to Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats in the Pune division, as timely directions of Hon’ble High Court, Hon’ble National Green Tribunal, Government of Maharashtra, and Hon’ble Scheduled Castes and Tribes Commission.
