According to the order received from the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, a special Gram Sabha was organized at Khanapur to create awareness and create awareness among the public about the Guarantee Scheme for Development of India – Employment and Livelihood (Rural). Haveli, Dist. Dated at Pune. was made on 26/12/2025. In the said Gram Sabha Mr. Sanjeev Palande, Joint Commissioner (Rohyo) Pune Division guided the Sarpanch and members of Gram Panchayat present as well as officials of Village Development, Agriculture, Water Supply and other departments as well as the villagers present.

A campaign to plant coconut trees on the bunds of sugarcane fields is being implemented by the Pune Divisional Commissioner Office (EGS branch) with the cooperation of the Agriculture Department. This successful initiative, conceptualized by Hon. Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Divisional Commissioner of Pune, has so far resulted in the planting of nearly 5,000 coconut saplings on the bunds of farms of around 366 beneficiaries from approximately 59 Gram Panchayats in the division.
