Namami Chandrabhaga Abhiyan –

Namami Chandrabhaga Abhiyan has been started by the Government of Maharashtra and implemented by the Divisional Commissioner Office, Pune division, Pune. The main objective of the mission is to make Bhima River and its tributaries pollution-free, clean and maintain the holiness of the river. The two districts covered under (this) mission are Pune & Solapur.

This mission has been executed as per the Government Resolution issued on 12th August 2016 by the Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra. An extension has been given to this mission through the Government Resolution issued on 4th October 2024 by the Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
