Yashwantrao Chavan Panchayat Raj Abhiyan

Yashwantrao Chavan Panchayat Raj Abhiyan award scheme has been started from the financial year 2005-2006 for Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis who have done excellent work in administrative management and development work. The award is given to Panchayat Raj institutions in the state of Maharashtra at both the division and state levels. The scheme is implemented by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, State of Maharashtra.
